Rigid Plank Flooring is a great flooring option for many clients.  Many clients love the look of hardwood flooring. Whether it be the wide farmhouse style planks or the sleek and modern looking bamboo, wooden flooring is really hot right now.  However, when people see the cost, they start to look for alternative solutions. Rigid Plank Flooring is just that solution as well as it has some other pretty impressive features.  When looking for flooring you should look at the amount of traffic the flooring is going to see and what kind of traffic, if there is going to be food and drink spills and other deciding factors, not just the look of the flooring.  This will ensure that you purchase a flooring option that is perfect for you and your families lifestyle.

Rigid plank flooring comes in a variety of different looks. And, it offers a very unique and natural look to the floor as well.  Remember, that the floor is one of the major components of any room. It is what people’s eyes are drawn towards and is a major factor in the overall feel of the room.  Rigid Plank flooring will mimic the look of just about any wooden design and at a fraction of the price. So, if you love the rich dark woods, this flooring is just the choice.  Looking for the modern and lighter tones, no worries, it is also available in those as well. This is the perfect solution for those that love wood floors but don’t have the budget for them.

The wear layer, vinyl topcoat layer, a rigid core layer, and attached underlayment.  Note that not all rigid core vinyl flooring will have the attached underlayment, but it is popular for it and adds a level of sound reduction as well as helps with uneven floors.  If you have uneven floors, rigid core vinyl flooring is perfect for covering that up. Just be sure to get flooring that has this underlayment. Many times it will cover up all the imperfections of the subfloor and leave you with a floor that looks amazing.

It is completely waterproof and perfect for any room in your home or office.  The appearance, obviously, is another pro to the rigid vinyl flooring option. It looks beautiful and amazing when complete. Many people feel comfortable installing rigid vinyl flooring themselves.  As the flooring comes with a simple tongue and groove style installation system. The subfloor doesn’t have to be perfect which makes DIY easy with this style flooring as well. And, the comfort of this type of flooring as it is offer cushion from the dense core is another benefit.  This dense core also helps with the sound of the flooring. It isn’t as “clicky” as the original plank flooring was in the earlier days. And, it is easy to maintain.
